New Black-owned cannabis dispensary in Atlantic City to hold unveiling Tuesday

ATLANTIC CITY — Bakin’ Bad, which bills itself as New Jersey’s first solely owned, fully licensed African American disabled-veteran cannabis dispensary, will hold an unveiling celebration Tuesday at 2834 Atlantic Ave. before opening to the public April 20.

The ceremony will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. and coincides with the presence of the MJ Unpacked cannabis business conference Tuesday through Thursday at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City.

Bakin’ Bad was founded by Atlantic City native Edward Wilson Jr., whose vision, according to a news release, is to create opportunities for marginalized and underrepresented communities in the cannabis industry.

In addition to selling cannabis products, Bakin’ Bad will offer delivery services, the release states.

It is partnering with ButACake, an edibles company co-founded by Martha Figaro, as part of its business.
