May 2, 2024: One woman’s journey with Alzheimer’s; Diversifying health care with ‘Black Men in White Coats’

Former University of Denver chancellor Rebecca Chopp says she was lucky her doctor diagnosed her Alzheimer’s early. Chopp shares her five-year journey with the disease and what she’s doing to slow its progression as part of our series, Aging Matters on Colorado Matters. Then, there’s a saying in the world of DEI that “representation matters.” The field of medicine is no exception. We’ll revisit an initiative and an event coming up this weekend on the University of Colorado Anschutz campus aimed at getting more “Black Men in White Coats.”
