Clyne Namuo Continues History of Discrimination Against Black Businesses at Joliet Junior College After the College Lost it’s SBDC Because of Racial Discrimination (Joliet, IL) – Clyne Namuo, the new President of JJC has shown a deliberate inclination to continue a history of racial discrimination against black businesses at Joliet Community College. Recently, in a meeting with the Southland Black Chamber of Commerce and Industry, President Clyne Namuo displayed his ignorance in discussing procurement.

“We’ve created the Entrepreneur and Business Center so that we can better serve minority businesses!” stated Clyne Namuo at the meeting with the black chamber of commerce. This statement was an outright lie as the Small business development center at Joliet Junior College was taken away from JJC because of racial discrimination against black businesses. JJC’s history of so called diversity, equity, and inclusion with black businesses is god awful.

President Clyne Namuo represents the worst of community college presidents when it comes to procurement with black businesses. To toy with a black chamber of commerce the way that he has done is not only disrespectful to all black people, it pulls at the very heart strings of systemic issues that plague our country as a whole. President Clyne Namuo had every opportunity to learn. President Clyne Namuo had every opportunity to meet with over a dozen of black business owners to hear their perspective. Yet, he refused to do so. He canceled the meeting with the community and decided to meet with one person. Luckily the Chairman of the Southland Black Chamber of Commerce brought two witnesses. Those witnesses saw the lies told, and the ignorance of the new President of JJC, President Clyne Namuo. When does it stop?

Sytemic Racism in Will County Procurement Opportunities

Why does someone from Hawaii feel that they can come to Chicagoland and perpetuate systemic racism against black businesses and perpetuate a system of hate with no consequences? Joliet lost its Small Business Development Center because of racial discrimination against black businesses. Luckily, a black business association on the west side of Chicago was able to procure the first SBDC for a black business association or black chamber of commerce in the state of Illinois last year due to the advocacy of the Southland Black Chamber of Commerce. Shame on Clyne Namuo. We pray for black businesses in the Chicagoland area when it comes to doing business with Joliet Junior College.
