‘Blacktivity’ Business Expo showcases, uplifts Black-owned Lawton businesses

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – Over at VFW Post 1193, an event featuring plenty of businesses to check out took place; however, this one specifically focused on uplifting and empowering Black-owned businesses.

The Black-tivity Black Business Expo showcased various Black businesses and vendors, along with public speakers, during Juneteenth weekend.

The event, hosted by Top 5 Entertainment, along with other organizations, also offered opportunities to network and share marketing strategies.

“I just love the way that everybody come together and, you know, bring out their brands,” said Sharonda Facen of Top 5 Entertainment. “Just showing the community that there’s more in Lawton than just the big businesses.”

“This is the very first Black business expo here in Lawton, Oklahoma, so we wanted to bring active exposure to know that we too have a voice and we do have resources and we do, we are able to contribute to the community,” shared Andre Facen.
