Black Hawk County announces new Public Health Director

BLACK HAWK COUNTY, Iowa (KWWL) — Black Hawk County now has a new Public Health Director.

Kaitlin Emrich has been announced as the county’s new Public Health Director. Emrich has served as interim Director since Nafisse Egbuonye left the position.

Emrich served as the Lead Public Information Officer during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and has also served in health roles in Linn County.

The Board of Health approved Emrich in a 5-0 vote on Monday morning. She will begin the position on October 9.
