African leaders gathered in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the annual African Union Summit, this year themed “Justice for Africans and People of African Descent Through Reparations.” Addressing delegates at the summit, Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed said the demand for reparations is about justice for Africa and restoration of the “dignity of millions,” and healing.
