What is Shani Mahadasha? Its Effect and Remedies

Lord Shani, also known as the planet Saturn in Hindu mythology, is considered both aggressive and just. As the God of Justice, Shani rewards and punishes individuals based on their deeds. Shani is associated with discipline, karma, hard work, patience, longevity, and delay. Shani Mahadasha, a 19-year period, is a significant phase in one’s life, during which Saturn becomes the primary influencer, bringing forth both positive and negative impacts depending on individual karma and the planet’s position in the horoscope.
Sadhe Saati
In the Shani Mahadasha, when Saturn displays negative effects in areas like career, finances, success, and relationships, the phase is referred to as Shani ki Sadhe Saati. Lasting for 7.5 years, this period is believed to be a consequence of past-life karma or the incorrect placement of Saturn.
