VA appoints new Medical Center Director for Black Hills Health Care System

Department of Veterans Affairs officials have appointed next Medical Center Director of the Black Hills Health Care System.

Spencer Mion has served with the VA for 11 years in its Midwest Region, most recently as the Black Hills System’s Associate Director.

“Mr. Mion has extensive experience and is an outstanding choice to fill this role as the new director for the VA Black Hills Health Care System,” said Executive Director for the VA’s Midwest Health Care Network Robert McDivitt. “I am certain that the experience he has received as the Associate Director of the Black Hills Health Care System has prepared him to provide the leadership and guide the employees and volunteers, our health care partners, the community, and importantly the Veterans we are honored to serve.”

He holds two master’s degrees from Minnesota State University Moorhead—one in Business Administration and one in Health Care Administration.
