Updated: Anderson elected commonwealth’s attorney, Biberaj concedes

Republican Robert D. Anderson will be the next Loudoun County commonwealth’s attorney. Incumbent Democrat Buta Biberaj conceded the race on Nov. 15, eight days after Election Day and a day after final ballot counts were certified showing a narrow victory for Anderson.

The final margin was just 300 votes. Anderson received 68,068 votes, or 49.92%, to Biberaj’s 67,768, or 49.7%, according to results certified Nov. 14 by the Loudoun County Electoral Board. There were 518 write-in votes.
