Tulsa Race Massacre survivors and legal team announce next steps in reparations fight

The Tulsa Race Massacre survivors and their legal team are announcing the next steps in their fight for reparations.

A press conference was held at 11 a.m. in the Greenwood Cultural Center today, June 2.

The lead attorney Damario Solomon-Simmons for Tulsa Race Massacre survivors Viola Fletcher and Lessie Benningfield Randle spoke at the presser.

The press conference also included:

  • Randall Adams, Litigation Partner, Schulte Roth & Zabel
  • Sara Sofanelli, Special Counsel for Pro Bono Initiatives, Schulte Roth & Zabel
  • McKenzei Haynes, Litigation Associate, Schulte Roth & Zabel
  • Tiffany Crutcher, Massacre descendant; executive director, Terence Crutcher Foundation

It is the team’s first public response since the Oklahoma Supreme Court dismissed their historic lawsuit in June.
