‘To highlight more Black businesses’: Black History Month at the Broadway Market

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — You can support Black-owned businesses and save some money at the Broadway Market.

Every Saturday in February, shoppers can get a $25 gift certificate after spending $10 with participating Black retailers.

It’s all in honor of Black History Month. Mayor Brown says 40 Black-owned businesses will be highlighted at the market.

“To Celebrate Black History Month and bring in additional businesses gives the Broadway Market the ability to highlight even more Black businesses in the City of Buffalo,” said Mayor Brown. “Highlight the importance of supporting all of our business types in the city, because the stronger our businesses are, the stronger our city is.”

Shoppers can expect live music from local musicians. Black History Month at the Broadway Market wraps up February 24.
