HunterGirl, the rising country artist who was born in Gruetli-Laager and raised in Winchester, Tennessee, has landed two holiday tracks in Hallmark Channel Christmas movies this season. Her spirited “Hurry Up Christmas” is featured in “Christmas Island,” which will repeat several times through Dec. 31, including at 10 p.m. Nov. 20. Her dreamy “Christmas Again” is included in “Haul Out the Holly: Lit Up,” which premieres at 8 p.m. Nov. 25 and will likewise repeat through the end of the year. The 19 Recordings/Wheelhouse Records artist, the runner-up in the 20th season of ABC’s “American Idol,” co-wrote both songs. “When I found out that two songs I wrote were going to be featured in the Hallmark Channel’s Christmas movies, I was so excited for my whole family, especially my Nana,” she said in a news release.
