Songs as Mental Health Break: Black Hole Sun, Soundgarden (1994)

If you are like me, you will need mental health breaks to maintain your sanity this year. For my part, I am starting my day with a great song, working alphabetically by song title (note: this does not mean a single song per letter). In comments, predict the next song, let me know a deserving song I have passed by, or tell my why this was an awful choice. Enjoy!

Shout out to RepublicanKos for the correct prediction. Coconut Heads comments: “Um, Republican Kos, the title on this diary is Songs as Mental Health Break, not Songs as Dizzying Descent into a Flaming Rotating Hellish Vortex of 1990s American Dystopia! It is a great and very disquieting song I’ll admit. Chris Cornell (1964-2017), Rest in Power.”

Word. But somehow even the most disturbing songs can put the mind at rest.

Yesterday: Black Dog, Led Zeppelin
