IF YOU’RE AN avid outdoorsman, there are some decent Black Friday deals to be had—that is, if you know where to look. Brands like Patagonia and REI have for years now not participated in the shopping holiday, instead telling customers to not buy anything or to go outside. There’s a lot of merit to that, and we are backers of that sentiment at Men’s Health.
We also know that being a thrifty shopper is kind of necessary these days. So while Patagonia does not offer a Black Friday sale, there are two ways to save money on Patagonia gear this November.
One is the brand’s Web Specials section. It’s got some discounts on past seasons’ gear and colors. The section typically gets added to at the beginning of each season and will eventually get added to again. Do keep in mind that sizing tends to get very limited, but below we’ve pulled out a few of our favorite options right now.
The other way to save on Patagonia gear is through the brand’s Worn Wear program. This is where the brand does trade-ins on its used gear from customers, making repairs and cleaning, and then re-offering the pieces for sale. These gently used items are just as good as new ones a lot of times (remember, Patagonia takes durability of its products seriously), and we can personally vouch for having a few Worn Wear pieces that are holding up just as well. The kicker? These products are offered at significant savings from what they were brand new. So you can score a 100L Black Hole Duffel for $33 off that’s in “excellent condition.”
So while there is no Patagonia Black Friday sale, there are still a couple ways to save on the brand’s hardwearing gear.
