NWA organization ending Black History Month with their Black Owned Business Expo

Nearly 70 Black entrepreneurs gathered at Fayetteville town center to connect with the community, sell products and celebrate Black culture. This is the 7th biannual expo Black Owned NWA has hosted.“It’s getting bigger and bigger each and every year. So I’m really excited to see what’s out here. It’s hard to know what’s out here and what’s available and then in the Black community. So, yeah, I’m excited,” said Felicia Walker, a community member.Many attendees at this event said this wasn’t their first time, and an event like this means the world to them.“It’s really inspirational, especially for someone like me, that I’m trying to relocate up here. So just knowing that these activities and all of this is available. I love to see that,” said Janai Johnson, another member of the communityBlack entrepreneurs also expressed how having this event helps them with exposure in an area where they say there are few Black business owners.“The Black community is so scattered in Northwest Arkansas, and so this is really a great opportunity for you to actually see and be able to support and have one event that you can actually get everything you need in one location,” said Alqueeah Cates, a Black business owner.Watch the video above for more on the expo.
