Local Black businesses celebrate third Annual Black Expo Day

CARBONDALE — Black Chamber of Commerce of Southern Illinois celebrated its third annual Black Expo Day on Saturday at the Carbondale Civic Center.

The mission of BCCSI is to develop, educate, sustain, promote and economically empower African-American businesses by advocating for economic development through business-friendly legislative policies, entrepreneurship, procurement, community reinvestment and programmatic and professional development throughout the region, according to their website.
