
The Jacksonville (FL) Chapter and the Bold City (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated joined forces to present the ‘Black Family Wellness Expo,’ a community health and wellness event dedicated to reducing health and economic disparities in Duval County. The national intiative done in cities acress the country, is a family family-centered expo was held localoly at KIPP Voice Northside Academy on Golfair Blvd. As part of The Links, Incorporated’s National Impact Day of Service, the goal was to provide comprehensive health and wellness resources to individuals and families, equipping them with tools to lead healthier lives.
Attendees took advantage of the free health screenings, food giveaways, workshops, nutrition and wellness meditation and financial literacy resources. The events partnerships with AARP, Feeding Northeast Florida, Agape Family Health, and other organizations reflected shared community commitments to empowering local families through education, resources, and support.
“The Black Family Wellness Expo is more than just an event—it’s a movement,” said Candice Thompson, President of the Jacksonville Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. “We are committed to fostering sustainable change by addressing the root causes of health and economic inequities in our community.”
