Killeen man pleads guilty to leading police on chase while on drugs

A Killeen man was going to face a jury that would decide whether he led a state trooper on a police chase through the city in 2022, which ended with a wrong-way crash. Instead of going to trial, the defendant pleaded guilty on Monday.

Renard Lamar Pryor, 34, was indicted by a Bell County grand jury on Sept. 14, 2022, on a second-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams and a third-degree felony charge of evading arrest with a vehicle.
