Israel Aerospace Industries and Odysight.ai have introduced a visual health monitoring solution for UH-60 Black Hawk medium-lift utility helicopters.
The capability incorporates multi-camera technology that records real-time data to sustain the helicopter’s “maximum safety and availability.”
It can also detect degradation and early malfunction of the vehicle’s components before they become critical.
“The advanced camera technology, combined with our expertise in aerospace engineering, will enable us to create a state-of-the-art health monitoring system,” IAI Vice President Gila Ghilai stated.
“We look forward to contributing to the safety and success of missions carried out by this important aircraft.”
‘Ground-Breaking’ System
The multi-camera is programmed with Odysight’s visual sensing & video analytics, a high-performance processor, machine vision embedded software, and artificial intelligence-machine learning algorithms to cover predictive maintenance and condition-based monitoring.
Cameras integrated into the platform will be strategically placed across different parts of the helicopter.
Furthermore, the health monitor has advanced sensors and employs the UH-60’s “digital twin” to receive immediate prognostics.
“We at Odysight.ai are proud and honored to be chosen and trusted by IAI for the implementation of this ground-breaking visual based health monitoring system for UH60 helicopters,” Odysight.ai CEO Yehu Ofer said.
“This partnership highlights the potential of health monitoring systems for aerospace & aviation markets.”
