Get gift cards, free FitBit by participating in Longview Black health study

LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – The MD Anderson Cancer Center is actively recruiting Black residents of Longview to participate in their Harmony and Health study.

The study is being done to try and help reduce sitting time and to improve the “psychosocial wellbeing” of Black adults in Longview. Participants will have to do two mind-body relaxation or health education sessions a week for 8 weeks and then complete three assessments.

According to the center, participants will be compensated for their time with gift cards to Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club along with a free FitBit fitness smart watch.
