EL PASO, Texas (KFOX) — A 17-year-old Texas teen was arrested after reportedly robbing pizzas and a cell phone from a Pizza Hut delivery driver and posting about the incident on Instagram.
Authorities arrested Carlos Luna Garza.
Officers were called to a report of a robbery on Nov. 9 at the Pizza Hut located at 7984 Gateway East.
The arrest affidavit stated Luna Garza placed his right hand into his pants and threatened to shoot the pizza delivery man.
Luna Garza stated, “Give me the stuff and your phone or I’ll shoot you.”
The suspect robbed about $52.25 worth of pizza and the victim’s cell phone.
The victim told police he was delivering an order at an apartment complex in the Lower Valley.
The victim said he knocked several times at the door of a unit and no one answered.
The victim saw a person wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie, and brown leather belt with white shoes looking into his vehicle.
The victim asked Luna Garza if he had ordered the pizza. Luna Garza replied “Yes.”
The delivery man walked over to him and told him the order and price.
The victim told police Luna Garza told him ” I have a gun, give me that stuff and your phone or I’ll shoot you” and motioned with his right hand that he had a gun in the waistband of his pants.
The victim was in fear for his life and did what Luna Garza told him.
Luna Garza got into his vehicle and left.
According to the document, Luna Garza posted about the incident on his Instagram account.
Investigators found Luna Garza posted a video of the delivery man closing the vehicle door and leaving with the caption “Tryna tax me for pizza.”
The next clip showed a two-liter Mountain Dew bottle and a Pizza Hut delivery bag.
The next clip was captioned “Not even this can chKange me” and the Pizza Hut chicken wings and a half-eaten pizza.
On Nov. 11 police were called on report of a stolen vehicle that evaded DPS and police at the same apartment complex located at 528 Center Way.
Several occupants fled the scene and some were arrested.
Luna Garza was among those arrested and taken into custody for evading arrest.
Investigators found Luna Garza was the person who posted the robbery on Instagram, showing he was wearing the same ski mask in several of his photographs.
According to the report, investigators believe Luna Garza was the same person who committed the previous robbery.
