Chicago’s 9th District Businesses Plagued by Burglary Spree

Chicago businesses in the 9th District have encountered an increasing number of burglaries recently. The Chicago Police Department informs that multiple incidents took place in October, with offenders gaining access to businesses through windows and doors.

This wave of crime, occurring primarily during late-night hours, has impacted businesses across the district. On October 24 and 25, a business on the 1100 block of West 47th Street was targeted. On October 25, three more burglaries occurred—on South Western Avenue at 4000 and 4300 blocks, and on the 3400 block of South Archer Avenue.

Police connect these incidents to three African American males, yet to be identified.

The Chicago Police Department asks the public to report suspicious activity immediately, and anyone with information can contact the Bureau of Detectives at (312) 747-8384.
