‘Breaking Barriers: A Culture Conversation’ full show

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – This Black History Month, Emilia Miles and Tony Betton Jr. explored the key influence African Americans have had in the fields of visual and performing arts, literature, fashion, folklore, language, film, music, architecture, culinary, and other forms of cultural expression.

In the special, you will see:

– One-on-one conversation with Rev. Bill McGill about Fort Wayne’s Black history, progress, his connection to MLK & more.

– In-depth discussions with local doctors and dentists about the state of black health and giving some tips on what to know about our health and bodies.

– 3 Hair experts gathering to talk about black hair, the culture of black beauty and barbershops and the importance of them.

– Conversations with Miss Indiana & her family about her journey to the crown, her humble attitude and her history-making score.
