Black Restaurant Week is back in Louisville for a third time starting Friday.
The theme for this year’s Black Restaurant Week is “More Than Just a Week” which is “focused on restimulating local economies within the Black community by promoting Black-owned culinary businesses and professionals who cannot afford costly marketing campaigns,” a release from the event stated.
Black Restaurant Week is held in cities around the country and supports Black-owned businesses and celebrates African American, African, and Caribbean cuisine, according to the release. Locations participating in Louisville offer diverse cuisine options including seafood, fried chicken, and biscuits.
