Black Family Health and Wellness Fair kicks off at Omaha North High School

NEBRASKANS WHO WERE KILLED DURING THE WAR. THE 25TH ANNUAL BLACK FAMILY HEALTH AND WELLNESS HEALTH FAIR KICKED OFF AT OMAHA NORTH HIGH SCHOOL TODAY. IT’S A FREE EVENT WHERE PEOPLE CAN GET HEALTH SCREENINGS AND CONNECT WITH COMMUNITY RESOURCES. THE VIKING CENTER WAS FILLED WITH DOZENS OF EDUCATIONAL BOOTHS AND ABOUT 20 SCREENERS. THE EVENT OFFERED A HOLISTIC APPROACH TO HEALTH CARE WITH VISION, DENTAL, DIABETES AND CHOLESTEROL SCREENINGS. WHAT WE TRY TO DO IS TO GET PEOPLE TO COME BECAUSE ONE OF THE KEY THINGS IS, IS THAT AT LEAST GET PEOPLE TO THE HEALTH FAIR ONCE THEY’RE IN THE DOOR AND THEY START SEEING ALL THE RESOURCES, THEY ALSO THEY GET A BAG. AND NEXT THING YOU KNOW, IT LOOKS LIKE THEY GOT GROCERIES BECAUSE THEY GET SO MUCH INFORMATION AND THE BAG IS FULL. ORGANIZERS SAY SOM

The 25th annual Black Family Health and Wellness Fair kicked off at Omaha North High School Saturday.It’s a free event where people can get health screenings and connect with community resources.The Viking Center was filled with dozens of educational booths and about 20 screeners.The event offered a holistic approach to health care with vision, dental, diabetes and cholesterol screenings.”What we try to do is to get people to come, because one of the key things is, is that these get people to the healthier once they’re in the door and they start seeing all the resources, they also they get a bag.
