ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Community Reparations Commission is asking the Asheville City Council for an extension into next year to complete their work.
Dr. Noreal Armstrong, the chief equity and human rights officer for Buncombe County, showed commissioners the current status with 38 recommendations this week.
The commission wants more time to crystalize more recommendations.
“Currently, the CRC aims to request an extension from the city asking to get six additional months,” said Armstrong.
