Arkansas SBA recognizes August as Black Business Month

Earlier this year, the Small Business Administration’s Arkansas District Office, welcomed Adriene Brown to the team. With a career that spans multiple capabilities, she holds one title significant to the SBA and the district office she represents. Brown is the first African American to hold the position of SBA Arkansas District office director.

The Florida-born and Texas-raised self-starter fulfilled several public service roles before leaving for the SBA. From working in various information technology roles to marketing and communications, she dedicated more than 20 years to the country before placing in her current role. She was also a small business owner.
