Webster’s Dictionary defines democracy as “government rule of the majority.” But Bob Brady, who has served as chairman of the Philadelphia Democratic City Committee for 37 years since 1986, apparently missed that in American Politics 101 class.
At the outset, I must mention that Brady is actually a nice guy. He’s personable. He’s sociable. He’s affable. In fact, I personally like him. But as Michael Corleone said to his brother in The Godfather, “It’s not personal, Sonny. It’s strictly business.”
