From time to time, you hear that certain politicians talk about giving reparations to the descendants of slaves, or in Kamala Harris’s case, reparations for anyone who’s black. And again, she’s looking to secure votes with that foolhardy notion!
As a California senator, she’s on record saying that she’s for reparations and would consider it, but she has no idea of what it would take to actually get it done. And she’s recently talked about it, most likely to get votes.
But let’s view this logically for a second.
I’m all for reparations to the descendants of slaves, but using that model, I’d also propose that any descendants of Abraham Lincoln or any descendants of the 320,000 Union soldiers, who gave their life so that slaves could be freed, get reparations also! I mean, it’s only fair; right?
