HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WCHS) — Hospitals and facilities under the Marshall Health Network are currently under a code black due to a widespread technical outage.
The network said the following facilities are impacted by a global Crowdstrike outage affecting Microsoft systems:
- Cabell Huntington Hospital
- St. Mary’s Medical Center
- HIMG
- Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital
- Edwards Cancer Institute
- Rivers Health
The health network said its IT teams are currently working to restore desktop systems, beginning with critical areas.
Appointments may be rescheduled as a result of the outage, the health network said.
A code black for hospitals often means deferred procedures and postponed appointments.
