The fourth annual BLK Joy Fest presented by the Black Health Commission returns to Orlando on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lake Lorna Doone Park.

Featuring art, music, food and community connections, BLK Joy Fest promotes a supportive environment that encourages self-advocacy, care and resilience while emphasizing health equity and amplifying community resources.

“Over the past four years, the BLK JOY Fest has grown significantly in both scale and impact,” wrote the founder and executive director, Rebecca Desir. “We’ve expanded the range of activities and resources available, such as the addition of the Wellness Zone, Mom Zone, and various creative workshops. The festival has attracted more attendees each year, reflecting its growing popularity and the community’s increasing recognition of its value. The involvement of diverse sponsors and partners has also enhanced the festival’s offerings and reach, making it a cornerstone event for celebrating Black joy and health.”
