FLINT, Mich. (WJRT) – Two suspects are in custody for a deadly double shooting at the BP gas station on Flint’s north side Monday evening.
Michigan State Police say investigators identified two suspects allegedly involved in the incident. Both suspects were arrested during a traffic stop on Tuesday.
Authorities did not identify the suspects Wednesday afternoon because they had not appeared in court for arraignment.
Police say the shooting happened inside the BP gas station at the intersection of Clio Road and Myrtle Avenue around 9:30 p.m. Monday. The suspects allegedly got into a verbal altercation with the victims inside the convenience store.
The argument escalated into a physical fight and then gunfire erupted, according to the Flint Police Department. Men ages 24 and 18 were rushed to an area hospital for emergency treatment.
The 24-year-old was pronounced dead from his injuries while the 18-year-old was hospitalized in good condition Tuesday. Police have not identified either of the victims.
