Overnight shooting at Saginaw convenience store leaves man dead

SAGINAW, Mich. (WJRT) – A shooting outside a convenience store in Saginaw early Tuesday left a 29-year-old man dead.

The Saginaw Police Department says the shooting was reported around 1:10 a.m. at the Stop N Shop party store at 1227 Janes Ave. on the city’s east side.

Officers found 29-year-old Darius Horrison unresponsive inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Police and emergency medical responders began life-saving measures on the way to an area hospital, where Horrison was pronounced dead.

Saginaw police did not release any information about suspects or a possible motive for the shooting Tuesday morning. No arrests were announced as the investigation continued.
