Free Dialysis Session: Black Stars commend National Health Insurance Authority

Members of Ghana’s senior national football team, the Black Stars, has praised the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) for its timely intervention in funding dialysis treatment in Ghana.

The NHIA announced the package as part of activities marking its 20th anniversary.

The Black Stars, led by Captain Thomas Partey, congratulated Dr. Aboagye on his new role and appreciated the NHIA’s efforts in enhancing healthcare benefits.

The Black Stars expressed their gratitude to the NHIA for the improved health benefits and pledged to collaborate with the authority to promote wellness and healthy habits through sports and exercise.

The players emphasised the importance of this partnership in fostering a healthier community.

Dr. Aboagye, in turn, thanked the team for their support and encouraged them to become advocates for the NHIA and the broader health sector.

He extended his best wishes to the Black Stars for their upcoming World Cup qualification matches.

The Black Stars are scheduled to play against the Eagles of Mali in Bamako on Thursday, June 6, 2024, as part of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Matchday three qualifiers.
