Rocket carrying 4 astronauts, including Syracuse native Jeanette Epps, blasts off to space: A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying four astronauts, including Syracuse native Jeanette Epps, launched late Sunday evening to the International Space Station after multiple delays. Epps and her “Crew-8″ team will spend six months on the station, conducting around 250 scientific experiments, including some that will give more information about the long-term effects of living in space.

Hochul chooses Syracuse leader to examine slavery reparations: Linda Brown-Robinson, a longtime leader of Syracuse’s Black community, will serve on a state commission that will recommend how to address the harmful effects of slavery in the state. Gov. Kathy Hochul chose Brown-Robinson as one of her three appointees to the nine-member New York Community Commission on Reparations Remedies.

Orange men keep NCAA hopes alive, top Louisville: Finding ways to win at the most critical time of the season, the Syracuse Orange extended its win streak to four games with an 82-76 win over the Louisville Cardinals at the KFC Yum Center on Saturday. Syracuse, which is desperately chasing an NCAA Tournament bid, continued the hunt with the win over the Cardinals.
