Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages looks back on 200 years of African American business

MACON, Ga. (WGXA) — Highlighting a theme of the struggles and triumphs in 200 years of African American-owned businesses, The Macon Middle Georgia Black Pages has announced its 2023-24 publication Publication Celebration.

“200 Years of African American Businesses: The Pain, Plight, Progress & Promise” will focus on the history of Black-owned businesses, exploring the adversity faced by the community as well as the resilience, achievements, and aspirations that have kept them moving forward.

Guest speakers will include District Attorney Anita R. Howard, Newtown Macon CEO Josh Rogers, and Attorney Virgil Adams.

The celebration is from 7:00 to 10:00 on Tuesday night at the Tubman Museum.
