Escaped Texas inmates remain on the run

Authorities in Texas continue looking for two inmates that escaped custody over the weekend.

Raymond Ross and Ramon Perez were identified as the inmates that escaped from the Fannin County Jail Saturday night.

The inmates escaped custody from the jail on County Road 4200 in Bonham, Texas, about 72 miles northeast of Dallas.

Ross was is in custody for evading arrest with a motor vehicle, drug possession and felon in possession of a firearm.

Perez was in custody for aggravated sexual assault of a child.

Authorities said Ross and Perez were seen running to the southeast into the wooded area, wearing grey sweats.

No new information about the case has been released by county officials. As of Monday morning, no arrests have been announced.

The escape is currently under investigation by the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office.

They’re asking the public to call them at 903-583-2143 or 911 if they know where Ross and Perez are or if they’ve been spotted.

Officials don’t have reason to be believe that Ross and Perez are armed at this time.
