This type of news is absolutely devastating to Tyler, Texas business owners who are just trying to make their dreams come true. I was shocked when I saw the video online from the restaurant in Tyler called Lemon Yellow Latin Bites. While I have never visited their business myself I was always intrigued by their name and the pictures of their food and treats always looked so good. But there was a problem with their Quickbooks accounting program which means they never collected payment from customers for a full month.
According to the business owners the issue took place from August 4th to September 4th. Something went wrong at their point-of-sale system went to inactive mode, so they never actually took payment for those transactions. For a business that has been open for less than one year at this point dealing with something like this is heartbreaking.
About How Much Money Was Lost?
According to an article by KETK, the total loss is around $30,000 and the business has had to take out loans to stay afloat at this point.
What Can You Do to Help Lemon Yellow Latin Bites?
The first thing is if you were a customer during that time, stop back in a pay for your purchase. Obviously, this was not your fault, but to help a local business for goods that you received, it’s the right thing to do. Beyond that just make sure you stop in and support the business, they are struggling right now but would love to have new customers walk through the door and support their business.
