PENSACOLA, Fla. — Black History Month is a time to learn about people who shaped the nation’s history.
For many, it’s also a time to reflect on current contributions.
The local chapter of the National Coalition of 100 black women is highlighting the work of women in the Pensacola community.
“We all know our health and the way we have black women take care of us,” chair Woman of Excellence Committee Latricia Moorer said. “We normally take care of everyone before us, but in this chapter in this coalition, we like to focus on how we can help Natalie ourselves.”
“The community educates them on how to be healthy and healthier to have a long life as far as education we know that education is for everything and pushing education how we take mental thing for the young ladies,” she added.c
